For many years, women in Country Music were given the short shrift and had to take a back seat to men. Slowly but surely that changed with artists like Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrell and Reba McIntire. Today, women take a back seat to no one and, in fact, they are up front and center!
